Space station over ringed planet. Space Station at Ringed PlanetBring Her Back: Story by Sean Vivier

Maybe it was the heat or maybe it was just a desire for Halloween candy a few months early. Either way, this month's Hypersonic is creepy. Not in a weird-old-guy-that-hangs-around-GameStop-all-the-time kind of way. No, much better than that, we assure you.

This edition leans more toward the creepy and macabre. Sean Vivier uses fear, blood and ritual to “Bring Her Back.” Some blobs have some vicious communication issues in Ellen Denham’s “The Mouths.” Guy Belleranti brings us a laboratory of the apes in “Lab Rats.” Bite into A.K. Sykora’s “Delectable Cakes” and a little girl faces must face more than just "The Vortex" by Robert E. Keller.
